X-treme Fun sales agency was started in 1995.
Bret Fishman had been a sales representative for several years while he finished getting his college degree from the University of Denver. Bret and Kathleen met in Vail in 1994 and were married 11 months later (sometimes you just know when it’s right). Kathleen moved to Boulder after they were married and did not have a job at that time and soon started “helping out “Bret with the business. The rest, as they say, is history. Bret and Kathleen ran a very successful agency together for 28 years, until Bret’s untimely death from a brain tumor in November of 2023. In April of 2023 Kathleen hired Dan Hunter. She would like to say it’s one of the best decisions she's made.
Kathleen and Dan continue to run the business together, making a great team, each bringing a unique skill set to the business. They continue to serve their account base and treat them like family. Delivering top notch sales experience to everything we do. From clinics to suggested orders, prompt communication, and friendly follow ups, we consider ourselves to be one of the best agencies in the business. But don’t take our word for it. Raised in southern California, Kathleen grew up in the great outdoors - skiing, hiking, and camping with her family and friends. Kathleen moved to Vail for a number of years where she perfected her skiing and immersed herself in the great outdoors. She met Bret Fishman from Boulder, CO and the rest is history. The two fell in love, got married, and started X-treme Fun Sales together in 1995. They have raised two beautiful daughters who are now in college.

Bret started his career as a sales rep in 1990 while he was finishing up his degrees from the University of Denver. Born and raised in Denver, he was a true native son of Colorado.
In 1995 Bret and Kathleen started X-treme Fun Sales. They ran the business together until October 2022 when Bret was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an incurable brain cancer. Throughout his craniotomy and chemotherapy and radiation treatments Bret fought hard until he lost the battle in November of 2023. He continued to ride his bike, take vacations and walk our beloved Aussie Doodle Maisy right up until two weeks before he passed.
Bret was an amazing husband, father, business partner, and friend. He will forever be in our hearts and be missed greatly.

Dan lives in Paonia, Colorado with his wife, son, and two dogs. Before becoming a climbing guide, Dan adventured across the country as a professional musician, co-founding multiple bands with his wife. Dan is outgoing, personable, and passionate about climbing gear and apparel.
Dan is a contagiously enthusiastic mountain athlete: rock, ice, mountaineering, skiing, biking, and running. He currently holds the following accreditations and is working to become an IFMGA mountain guide.
Dan’s climbing and guiding lifestyle is a valuable asset. He has deep product knowledge from daily use in the field, placing him at the forefront of ever-evolving equipment and outdoor products.
Dan has retail experience in both the front and back of the house, marketing, nationwide events, and clinics. Educating clients and customers about different products and their proper use is his speciality.
